BSI Hong Kong has been granted the “Testing and Certification Manpower Development Corporate Award”

Testing and Certification Manpower Development Award Scheme 2021-22 Ceremony was held in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 22nd December 2021. The Award Scheme consists of two categories of Awards – the Testing and Certification Manpower Development Corporate Award commends T&C bodies’ achievements in talent and professional development; and the Excellent Testing and Certification Professional Award commends outstanding T&C practitioners who have actively pursued further studies/training or have made exemplary contribution to service improvement/productivity. BSI Hong Kong is honored to be awarded the “Testing and Certification Manpower Development Corporate Award”. BSI Hong Kong has demonstrated exceptional achievements in manpower and professional development of T&C practitioners.


Mr. Alfred Sit Wing-Hang, Secretary for Innovation and Technology of Hong Kong started the ceremony.

This Award recognizes accredited T&C bodies’ achievements in manpower and professional development of T&C practitioners. It opens to accredited T&C bodies of all sizes and business areas, including private T&C companies, in-house laboratories in enterprises, and laboratories in government departments, public organizations and universities/tertiary institutions.

The assessment covers the following four Areas, each with six Criteria (fulfill at least 3 out of 4)
(i) Commitment to T&C practitioners’ training and development
(ii) Corporate support to enhance T&C practitioners’ competence and professionalism
(iii) Caring for T&C practitioners
(iv) Communication with T&C practitioners

Assessment for the Award involves a two-stage process – preliminary screening and interview.
Stage 1: Check and verity the applications and supporting documents by HKCTC Secretariat
Stage 2: Examine applications and consider awardee by Assessment Panel


Professor Albert Cheung-Hoi YU, Chairman, Hong Kong Council for Testing and Certification presented the Testing and Certification Manpower Development Corporate Award to Mr. Stephen Yu, Chief Operating Officer – Hong Kong, China Operational Resilience Director, BSI.
